Privacy

Draft, last updated October 2026. Have this reviewed before opening to the public.

The short version

Your hunting log, pins, photos and notes belong to you. We don't sell or share them, we don't use them for ads, and we don't look through them. Other hunters can never see them.

Your log

Your hunting log is stored on your own phone or browser. Signing in also keeps a private copy in your account (see below). Clearing your browser data erases the copy on your device.

Your account

During the beta you sign in with your email (or Google, when offered). We store your email address to sign you in and to send beta updates. We also store the answers you give in the short sign-up questionnaire (for example which states, species and seasons you care about) to decide what to build next. Answers are used in aggregate, are never sold or shared, and only you can read your own answers in the app. You can ask us to delete your account and answers at any time. A copy of your log and photos is saved to a private account so it survives clearing your browser and works on other devices. We store your email address to sign you in. Only your login can open your entries. You can delete an entry at any time, which also removes its synced copy.

Location and weather

When you set a ZIP, town or tap "Use my location", your coordinates are sent to free public services to look up your zone, weather and place name (MassGIS zone map, Open-Meteo, Zippopotam.us, OpenStreetMap or USGS map tiles). Your ZIP is saved only on your device.

What we don't do

No ads, no selling data, no tracking across other sites.

Hunting information

Season dates and rules are compiled from MassWildlife and may contain errors. Always check the official MassWildlife guide before you hunt.
